Falling In Love Again , Book Review

Falling in love again is probably the best thing that can happen to a young writer. It gives a certain spontaneity and intensity to his writing.

Falling in love again is a fusion of short, beautiful, unconventional love stories written by Ruskin bond. Those unconventional stories ring true to each of us, and many can relate to it in their lives.

It will be unfair in part of those who say they never fell in love, for they had been ignorant throughout their lives, they forget that their life had been a long love story. In the journey of life, they fall in love with the sun, the moon, flowers, books, roads, old trees, grannies and they will keep falling in love till their last breath.

The eyes have it

It is a nudge to those who turn blind eyes to the beauty of nature, chirping of a bird, hide and seek of sun and clouds, for they have too much to take in, and people with good eyesight cannot see what is right in front of them.

The subsequent stories The Night Train At Deoli, Love Is a Sad Song, Time Stops at Shamli, and The Girl from Copenhagen, all of them have one thing in common and that’s a woman.

The characterization of each woman in the stories is captivating, appealing, intrepid, realistic, Mr. bond played the part of a reckless, romantic lover in each of the stories who have a craving to love and to be loved.  And it displays those fulfilling and complete relationships where there are no barriers, no promises, of meeting again no marriages and yet that love blossoms though only for two days or few hours, where you have no complaints no waiting but only love and regards for each other.

We fret all our lives for not having met the perfect man or special someone or sweetheart but we forget the small encounters we might have had, where looking at each other with tender patience is all that was needed to call it perfect love, the golden feeling that seems to stay with us for longer , maybe till now while you are reading this extract from my learning. If yes, please hit the comment on and share your thoughts …

Happy reading..

The Silent Patient (Book Review)

'I love him so totally completely, sometimes it threatens to overwhelm me. Sometimes i think ... No. I won't write about that'  Alicia Berenson, a thirty–two years old painter renowned for her work Alcestis, a love story of saddest kind. Alcestis willingly sacrifices her life for her husband, Admetus, dying in his place when no one else will.    There is a pure heart to heart connection of Alicia with Alcestis’ story. And hence she named it Alcestis.      “Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive, and will come forth later, in uglier ways  '                                                           ...

Five Books That Changed My Life

I had grown up seeing my father reading lots and lots of books and because he would read a lot, I never found him at loss for words.   He was an avid reader and a prolific writer. Not only he would read, but also he had written a good number of articles. He was a great leader; he could influence anybody. Be at the dinner table or at his office conference’s, he would win million hearts.    H e was a man of letters, extremely erudite His presence would daunt normal people. He would always egg us on reading books. As a kid, I would turn deaf ear to his persuasions for reading.  But later on, when I entered college, I found my way to the fiction and self-help section in the college library, though my father had maintained a full-fledged library which comprised almost all the genres, Issuing a book from the library would give me extra motivation owing to the timeline it would come with.  When I set out on the path of reading, I had promised myself to read at least 50...
